Public city transport in Belgrade Belgrade city public transport is provided through a network of bus, trolleybus and tram routes run by GSP "Beograd" and bus services operated by private bus companies, on around 130 routes. Single tickets can be bought: - in public transport vehicles, from the driver or conductor
- at kiosks marked with a ticket sales sticker
- at GSP points-of-sale
Single ride tickets must be punched immediately upon entry into the vehicle, using the ticket-punch machines installed in every vehicle, by each set of doors. Tickets for all types of transportation can be bought from kiosks (at newsstands) in the streets or from the drivers. Tickets bought from kiosk cost 29 dinars (0,35 €) and from the drivers are 40 dinars (0,49 €). Night tickets can be bought only from the driver and they cost 65 dinars (0,79 €). All types of tickets must be cancelled inside the vehicle and are good for one ride only. It is up to controllers to check whether the passengers possess valid tickets or passes. Controllers are to identify themselves with their official card and they can ask to see tickets and passes on any vehicle - so please remember to validate your ticket and keep hold of it! Tickets are priced differently for night services (00-04). Night transport routes differ from the routes of daytime services and combine several routes which serve particular parts of town and suburban areas. Night services are once an hour from one of the termini: Trg Republike (Republic Square), Slavija and Opština Novi Beograd (New Beolgrade Municipal Council building). There are also express minibus services which are a little more expensive, but also more comfortable and quicker as they do not stop at every bus-stop.
